The course is set in a quiet suburban area to provide a safe and fun venue for participants and family members. Start and finish at Wissahickon High School allows for easy access to parking as well as pre- and post-event activities. Plus, both the 5K and 10K end with an olympic style lap around the track. This mostly flat course layout with a couple of rolling hills provides an excellent venue for runners of all skill levels.

The purpose of the 2Young2Go foundation is to increase awareness and
provide much needed funds for a cancer that affects a large population
but goes relatively unrecognized--mesothelioma. The southeastern part of Pennsylvania
was a hotbed of asbestos manufacturing for nearly 100 years. There are
still significant waste deposits in the area that are in need of remediation.
These waste deposits may continue to infect and cause disease. Registered
as a nonprofit 501 (c) (3), The Norm Kulig 2Young2Go Foundation is committed
to remembering those who lost their lives to cancer, contributing
to the research efforts of MARF and aiding prevention that can be
achieved through remediation of existing asbestos waste disposal sites.
Help us honor and memorialize those who lost their lives, increase the
awareness of environmental related causes of cancer, further the scientific
research of such cancers and promote the environmental cleanup of areas
contaminated by such cancer causing substances.
